2024/04/17-04/18【Forest Love Taoyuan Tree Planting Green Beauty】

To mark Earth Day 2024 (April 22) and support the “Taoyuan Afforestation Initiative,” Auden Techno Corp, in collaboration with Auden Education Foundation, organized the “Planting Trees on Campus for a Greener Earth” program on April 17 and 18 at Qingpu Junior High School in Zhongli District and Shanghu Elementary School in Yangmei District, Taoyuan. This initiative aims to protect the planet by rooting environmental education within campus settings and encouraging collective action toward a low-carbon, net-zero future. Partnering with local schools also reflects Auden’s ongoing commitment to environmental education and sustainability.

This year’s program, held across Zhongli and Yangmei, was the result of more than six months of preparation, with strong support from relevant Taoyuan City Government departments. Prior to Earth Day, a total of 361 trees—covering more than 20 species—were planted across the two campuses. The initiative seeks to enhance campus greenery, raise public awareness of environmental protection, and foster a healthier, more sustainable living environment.

In response to the growing challenges of global warming, scientific consensus indicates that tree planting is among the most effective methods for mitigating climate change. According to recent studies, each person in Taiwan would need to plant at least 20 trees annually to offset their yearly carbon emissions. As a result, governments and enterprises worldwide are actively investing in afforestation efforts to achieve carbon reduction, net-zero goals, and a greener planet.

As a company dedicated to the design and development of communication antennas, Auden Techno Corp not only focuses on product and technological innovation but also upholds corporate social responsibility and sustainable environmental practices. In its pursuit of sustainable development, Auden actively promotes environmental education and serves as a partner in the Taoyuan City Government’s afforestation initiative.

Prior to the tree-planting activities, Auden also hosted two sessions of the “Sustainability Classroom – Deep Roots in Campus 2024 SDGs.” Mr. Wang Pai-Feng, Chairman of the Taoyuan Environmental Resource Education Promotion Association, was invited to provide on-site guidance on tree species selection and planting techniques, ensuring that the planted trees can grow healthily and effectively contribute to greening and carbon reduction efforts.
