Facing the imminent implementation of carbon fees and increasing pressure from international supply chains to reduce emissions, CommonWealth Magazine featured three finalists of the Taoyuan Golden Awards “ESG Environmental Sustainability Award,” highlighting how companies are transforming environmental challenges into competitive advantages. Among them, Auden Techno was interviewed to share its journey—from deep local roots in Bade, promoting green buildings and environmental education, to assisting small and medium-sized enterprises across borders in responding to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM).
At its new headquarters, Auden Techno has implemented both LEED and WELL Building Standard Gold certifications. The company has also established a subsidiary, “Auden Sustainability,” dedicated to cultivating professionals in green energy and carbon management. Through this initiative, it supports clients and supply chains in carbon reduction and renewable energy planning, demonstrating that Taiwanese SMEs are capable of taking the lead in sustainable transformation.
For over a decade, the company has continuously collaborated with environmental organizations to promote film festivals and develop educational tools, integrating environmental education into the daily lives of employees and their families. This approach embeds the belief that “inconvenient but worthwhile” choices can become an essential part of corporate culture.
